Matching Funds
Your full-time and part-time positions come with significant benefits! In order to leverage those funds, our program must match them using cash or in-kind sources. Your host site agreement has specific matching requirements that you are obligated to meet should you use those funds.
Please complete a source of match form by Friday, August 25, 2017 to indicate how you plan on meeting your match obligation. All of these documents can be found on the program webpage (Under the Supervisors tab: Policies & Forms)
Recently IACC learned that if a host site provides housing as a benefit to the member, then IACC must document the cost of the benefit. Therefore, we encourage host sites with full time members to use the value of the housing benefit as your source of match.
Reminder if you wish to use personnel time as your source of match.
IACC is required to have the following items prior to documenting your time as source of match. Please contact Justin ([email protected]) with questions.
The process has changed significantly from previous program years. We strongly encourage everyone to attend the live training or watch a recording (you can see one here!).
Member Enrollment/Orientation
Part-Time members: Contact Ryan ([email protected]) to schedule a date(s) when he can facilitate member enrollment! These will be scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Member background check forms are available on the program website.
Workshop details
Iowa Campus Compact is hosting a special, members-only workshop with Dr. Stephen Black on culture change and renewing the civic mission of higher education. The session will include discussion on the transformative potential of community-campus partnerships, creating opportunities for students to build capacity, and the importance of communicating and telling the story of this work. Participants will have the opportunity to explore creative ideas for moving the community engagement work forward on campus and generating support and creating opportunities for more students.
Dr. Black is the founder and leader of the Center for Ethics & Social Responsibility at The University of Alabama, where he has served as Director since 2005. In 2004, Mr. Black also founded Impact Alabama: A Student Service Initiative and currently serves as its President and Chairman of the Board. Housed at the UA Center for Ethics & Social Responsibility, Impact Alabama is the state’s first nonprofit organization dedicated to developing and implementing substantive service-learning projects in coordination with colleges and universities throughout Alabama. In October 2014, Impact Alabama became Impact America, which currently operates in Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina and Florida.
The workshop will be followed by a networking reception from 5:00 to 6:30 pm to which all attendees are invited. Attendees can register just for this workshop at no cost, but are also encouraged to attend the full 3rd Biennial Cedar Valley Conference on Ethics the next day.
Member Trainings: Please share with your full and part-time members!
